CREATIVE DIRECTION & DESIGN OVERSEEING
CREATIVE PRODUCTION
winterby game production, creative direction and timeline
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Winterby is a beautiful adventure isometric pixel cousy game project by Patrik Jarnfeld from Denmark. It was financed by the Danish Film institute and its production is currently on pause - due to Patrik’s personal obligations.
I helped Patrik create timeline, deliver milestones and assets for the products, I found more people to help him write the game and I have coordinated the whole creative production of the project.
We reached the MVP state of the game and I am looking forward to get back to it in the nearest future.
my role and responsibilities on winterby

MVP Definition and deliverables
One of my main responsibilities is to handle design and art deliverables in time and making sure we reach the MVP of the Winterby, or better known as the Vertical Slice. With background in Game design and Art, it was easy for me to address milestones based on the programmers feedback and make a realistic timeline for the Danish Institute. The project was financed five times consequently.

Winterby's strong creative direction
With my Art Academy and design background I Creatively directed Winterby’s visual signature. Making sure the color palette is limited so the game gets recognized instantly was a very successful decision. I also made sure that the illustration is delivered technically correct, given that the assets were in 2D Isometry.

Branding, Pitch decks and material production
My primary focus was not just overseeing the game production, but also making sure that the pitch decks are always up to date and that the game visits relevant game dev events, with good materials.

HELPED OUT WITH HIRING PROCESSES
Since this is an indie game, it means a lot of sticks and ropes techniques are involved while making it. I used my personal and professional circle of experts to find a talented writer that goes by the name Nina for Winterby. This made our project stronger and validated for the Danish Institute.
